Recognizing the benefits of supporting youth athletic programs in the city, RIIS, a technology development company located in Southfield, announced another $5,000 donation to Think Detroit Police Athletic League (Think Detroit PAL). The donation will support the organization’s youth soccer program.
"We are extremely pleased that RIIS is a part of this program," said Tim Richey, COO of Think Detroit PAL. “They are giving our kids the opportunity to play soccer against teams and in tournaments which they have never been before and for that we are extremely grateful."
"RIIS appreciates Think Detroit PAL's commitment to youth soccer in the community. We are pleased to continue to support the growth of this program," said Godfrey Nolan, RIIS Founder and President.
TDP's youth soccer leagues are city-wide and represent boys and girls at every skill level from ages 4-19. The funding from RIIS will support the general operating expenses of the program and will allow further development of Think Detroit PAL's travel soccer program, the TDP Elite. This is RIIS second annual donation to support TDP's soccer program.
Established in 1998, RIIS specializes in helping businesses achieve profitability while also increasing operational efficiency. They provide services to people in the telecommunications, defense and government, insurance, banking, retail, automotive, and education industry sectors.
Think Detroit PAL was formed on March 1, 2006, by the merger of two of the leading youth development organizations in the Detroit area: The Detroit, Inc. and the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL). The organization is one of the largest non-profit urban youth development programs in the nation, and serves nearly 12,000 young people annually through athletic, academic, and leadership development programs.
